While Urban Air Adventure Park is a nationally-recognized business, we have a passion for local community. Our franchisees realize that the impact of our parks extends way beyond the four walls of our brick-and-mortar locations. Forging meaningful connections with your community can help you become a cornerstone of the neighborhood and further deepen your customer relationships.

Here are five tips to help you make strong, meaningful connections with local communities, just like we do here at Urban Air!

1. Maintain a social media presence

One of the simplest ways to engage with your local community is by creating and maintaining a social media presence. In fact, many Urban Air franchisees find that this strategy is one of their best tools for spreading the word about all the excitement and non-stop fun that can be had at our adventure parks. It’s also a great way to share our company culture of innovation with a wide audience. Remember that social media is all about engagement—that means you need to keep your feed fresh with dynamic posts and interact with your followers, too!

2. Grow a membership base

Memberships give people a sense of belonging and establish customer loyalty. At Urban Air, we believe in endless fun—that’s why we offer ‘Endless Play’ Memberships to give our loyal guests the VIP treatment every time they walk through our doors! Our members receive special discounts, promotions and even giveaways, and their excitement spreads like wildfire through word of mouth and our unique marketing strategies. Do you offer memberships programs? If not, maybe you should.

3. Sponsor a team

Local sports teams support the health and wellbeing of the youngest members of communities across the country. Many Urban Air franchisees take advantage of the unique opportunity to sponsor local teams—it’s a great way to get exposure for the Urban Air brand while supporting the physical, social and mental health of kids and teens. There are other opportunities for sponsorship, too! Franchisees have sponsored special events like athletic tournaments, programming at local parks and so much more. The opportunities are truly endless!

4. Host spirit nights

What better way to connect with your community than by supporting your local schools? On a daily basis, Urban Air locations across the country host amazing Spirit Nights to give back to local schools. Not only does it give kids an exciting opportunity for fun and play, but schools receive 20% of the proceeds from the event. We’ve made it easy for you to get the word out about this special event, providing franchisees with all the necessary marketing materials to make each Spirit Night a huge success, including:

  • Dynamic advertising signs to display at school pickup zones
  • Day-of stickers for every child in the school
  • PDF invitations to print or email to parents

5. Volunteer for a good cause

Volunteering for a local organization is a tried-and-true way to generate goodwill within your local community. Whether you spend an afternoon volunteering with your team at your local animal shelter or you lend a hand to clean up an entire neighborhood, it’s a great way to build social capital while strengthening the bonds within your team.

At Urban Air, we’re all about strengthening local communities and bringing the spirit of innovative, next-level play to all kids (and to adults, too)! We believe that there’s absolutely no ceiling when it comes to positive exposure, and spreading goodwill within your community is often the best way to generate a buzz for your brand.
