They say you have to learn to walk before you can run. We say you must discover before you can own…An Urban Air Adventure Park, that is! Before you sign on the dotted line and become an Urban Air franchisee, there are a few steps in what we call our Discovery Process that must be followed.
1. Goals, Overview & Your Decision Criteria
Together with our recruitment team, we will spend about 45 minutes to an hour gaining a better idea of what your goals are as a franchisee and what you hope to bring to your community. We’ll explore your personal and professional needs and how those fit with Urban Air, as well as go over the timeline, selection criteria, and investment range. This is when any questions you may have or situations you might be curious about can be answered and addressed!
2. Brand Review
Step two is a deep dive into the Urban Air vision, objectives, and unique value proposition. Through open and honest dialogue, here is where we will really get into the discussions that will determine if it makes sense for you to continue the process toward franchise ownership. We’ll make sure that you have a clear image of what our brand looks like as well as what we look for and expect of a successful franchisee.
3. Complete Request for Consideration
We want to make sure you’re serious about exploring the Urban Air opportunity. By completing the confidential, non-binding “Request for Consideration,” you’re telling us you’re in it to win it and want to learn everything you can to continue towards ownership. There’s no need to worry about an official commitment to invest at this point. Once we’ve received your Request for Consideration, we’ll hop on a call and go over our Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), where you’ll find more details about training, mutual obligations, the initial investment, average park volume, and the ongoing expenses you can expect with owning and operating a park.
4. Funding Process and Territory Analysis
Urban Air has valued relationships with dedicated small-business lenders, ready to help potential franchisees understand the funding environment, what to expect, and the different options that could be available to you. We’ll make sure you’re introduced to our funding parents who can help answer any questions you might have and can curb any confusion you have about funding. We’ll also help you review your potential target territory area and review the site selection/real estate process during this step.
5. Business Review of Franchise Document
The Federal Trade Commission requires a Franchise Disclosure (FDD) for franchises like Urban Air, which make sure is thoroughly reviewed with our potential franchise candidates. It will provide comprehensive information on our company background, the management team, a breakdown of the total investment, the average park volume, a list of current franchisees, franchise agreements, our company financials and more. We want to make sure you’re getting the full picture and have a full understanding of Urban Air and the responsibilities and obligations that come with owning a park to ensure that this is the right fit for you.
6. Attend Launch Day Event
This is where you finally come face to face with our entire executive team and can get down to business at our home office. The Launch Day experience helps immerse you in the culture of Urban Air and Unleashed Brands while giving our team the opportunity to not only share the passion we have for the brand but to help evaluate if this is the right choice for you. You’ll put the pedal to the metal and have the chance to explore and play at an Urban Air Park in Dallas/Fort Worth before getting down to the nitty-gritty and speaking with a franchise recruiter. No final decisions are made at Launch Day.
7. Final Franchise Review & Financial validation
At this step (should you reach it), you’ve seen what you needed to see at Launch Day and have received the official award letter, you’ll receive a call that seals the deal and allows you the chance to review the next steps.
8. Sign Franchise Agreement
It’s time to put pen to paper. At this point, you can now call yourself an Urban Air franchisee! After we receive the signed Franchise Agreement and initial fees, we’ll schedule a call where you can meet our Real Estate/Site Selection team and On-Boarding Team and we can officially pass the baton to them to help you get your park opened! After working with them and securing a site, they’ll help you develop a timeline for training and get you prepped for a successful opening as you begin your new business.
