Dave Wolmetz and Keith Handler have been friends since kindergarten, so it made a lot of sense when the two started discussing going into business together. And, like many Urban Air owners, they became introduced to the brand via their children and found the compelling business case of the brand intriguing. They saw an opportunity to grow the Urban Air presence in the Northeast and opened their Lake Grove (NY) park in November 2019. The pandemic as well as unexpected health issues were difficult for the duo, but they’ve overcome.

Having reopened March 2021, the duo is running a top 10 park (in revenue) and says their focus will always been on community. Their story, an inspiring one to be sure, is shared this month in Franchise Times magazine.
